How can prayer be wrong? How can meditation be wrong? You have really gone overboard on this one! How they are wrong is really quite simple. They are wrong when the Sole Mediation of Jesus Christ before the eternal Holy God for us and His provisions of grace through His Word and Spirit - ARE EXCHANGED - for methods and techniques and mystical touching of the holy - by our own doings! It is something else displacing someone else as the basis of mediation between God and men. And the result is, by putting it in the context of the Gospels, instead of "Jesus as the Way" we now have "the Way of Jesus" as the emphasis of a super-spiritual and totally disfigured "Christianity." This is movement back to the dark ages. However:

"There is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time." 1 Timothy 2:5 NASB

"Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere hart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:19-22 NASB
